Who is considered an alumnus of Duke-NUS?

All graduates of Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School are included in the Duke-NUS Alumni Association. We welcome graduates’ spouses and our faculty members as honorary members of this organization as well.

Will I have a lifelong email address?

Yes. Your NUS student email address will be deactivated near the NUS July Commencement date. Your student email address will be ported over to the alumni lifelong email account, named AlumMAIL, upon performing an Acceptance User Policy (AUP) sign-up.

An email to all 2011 graduates will be targeted around June/July 2011 period, nearing the NUS July Commencement dates. Details of the sign-up procedures will be shared in this message, so be sure to check your NUS email account to sign up for AlumMAIL.

Please update your contacts with your new email address to ensure efficiency. AlumMAIL is complimentary and utilizes the domain @alumni.nus.edu.sg. AlumMail includes 25GB of online storage and 10GB of email storage and other office productivity features.

How can I find/contact other alumnus?

This website will include an alumni database beginning July 2011. The alumni database will be visible to Duke-NUS current students, staff, and fellow Duke-NUS alumni after logging into the Online Community.

How do I update my contact information, name, etc. with the Alumni Relations Department?

This website will include an alumni database beginning July 2011. The alumni database will be visible to Duke-NUS current students, staff, and fellow Duke-NUS alumni after logging into the Online Community. To update your contact information for the database, go to the Online Community to fill out the ‘Update Contact Information’ Form. You can also send an email with updates to alumni@duke-nus.edu.sg.

How can I continue to access the Duke-NUS Koo Teck Puat building on College Road? When will I have access?

You will be given an Alumni Access Card on 11 May 2011 during the Alumni Briefing. The access card looks similar to a NUS term card and has your name and photo on the front. To access the building, you must have this card with you at all times.

Alumni will have access to the first, second, and third floors, barring the Research area on the third floor, from 7am-midnight every day of the week, including weekends and Public Holidays. The Alumni Access Card will expire on 1 December 2016, near the time when most alumni will complete their residency training.

What NUS library access will I have as an alumnus?

Alumni are welcome to use and consult the library collection. They are able to gain access to the library by presenting their AlumNUS cards at the entrance. No borrowing privileges are available for such access.

Alternatively, NUS alumni can join the library as an external member to continue using its facilities. Membership subscription fee is $139.10 per annum for basic membership.

Due to strict licensing agreements, Alumni who are external members (and all other external members) will not have access to paid electronic resources.
