Students, staff, and faculty took part in the annual Run for Hope held at East Coast Park to raise funds toward cancer research.

Students joined a group of Yong Loo Ling School of Medicine students to help provide free health screenings to the elderly by performing measurements for blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol levels.
Students donned Halloween costumes, distributed goodies to patients and staff, and entertained the children with face-painting and balloon sculpting at the play areas.

Working alongside nurses and physicians, students helped perform blood pressure measurements, as well as blood glucose and cholesterol tests, as part of a wider comprehensive health screening provided to residents at Potong Pasir.
Students attended the 6th Singapore AIDS Conference held at the Suntec City Convention Centre to hear from renowned public health leaders in the field.

Students helped out by manning the Stress-ball Decorating Station.

Dressed as Santa Clauses, Santa Ladies, and Elves, students sang Christmas carols and distributed gifts to the residents of Assisi Hospice. They also taught origami, read storybooks, and performed puppet shows for the children in the Day Care Center.

Students measured BMI, blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol levels, and also helped spread awareness about diabetes and HIV/AIDS through an interactive game on risk factors for diabetes and a detailed survey on behavioral risks for HIV/AIDS.

After the second-year students made visits to the homes of the HCA Home Care patients during their Palliative Care Course in their Clinical Core Program last October, the students organized a camp for the children of cancer patients in collaboration with the students from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Hospice Care Association (HCA) Singapore. The children were provided a fun, supportive, and safe environment where they could befriend others who can empathize with their experiences, allowing them to improve their self-esteem and assist them in developing skills to cope with the stresses they are facing.
