"To develop a cadre of world class clinical translational investigators."

Funded by the Khoo Foundation’s “Khoo Infrastructure Award”, the Khoo Scholars (KS) Program aims to develop careers of individuals who wish to become clinician investigators or scientists and aspire to become future leaders in clinical/translational research.”

The Khoo Scholars Program (KS) offers multidisciplinary seminars, discussion, workshops and quantitative support to early-career researchers in their career development. A pilot award may also be awarded to produce pilot studies data that will strengthen the scholar’s peer-reviewed grant application.

In the program, scholars get to work with senior quantitative and disease mentors to develop a grant application that will shape their long term clinical/transitional research career path.  They present their ideas on a regular basis through the workshop-style weekly meetings as well as meet up regularly with their mentors.  Each scholar’s needs are then assess and the support is tailored to fit these needs.
