Research Interests:

My research encompasses concepts and recent methodological advances from evolutionary genomics, molecular virology and epidemiology to address the mechanisms and factors that shape virus evolution. Evolutionary dynamics (molecular epidemiology and evolution), antigenic evolution and interspecies transmission of RNA viruses, particularly, Influenza A viruses (Orthomyxomiridae), SARS (Coronaviridae) and other respiratory viruses.
