Research Interests:

My research fields are Health Economics, Health Services Research, and Health Policy. In these fields, I have a broad range of interrelated research interests, which include:
• Health system: financing, organization, quality, and responsiveness
• Non-communicable disease: the role and effectiveness of public policy in prevention and management
• Economics of aging and long-term care: individual and household decision-making and its impact on public financing
• Interactions between self-care, informal care and formal care interfaces
• Health, education, and labor market outcomes
• Adolescent health behavior, and its health and economic consequences over the life course
• Self-reported health and pain, subjective well-being, and happiness
• Econometric methods for policy and program evaluation using survey and administrative data
• Regional focus: Southeast Asia, East Asia
