Research Interests:

My past research focused on the molecular phylogeny, character evolution, divergence times and biogeography of early-diverging angiosperms occurring in SE Asia. I have newly joined in the PEID at Duke-NUS since July 2011, my current interests have moved on to understand the ecology, molecular epidemiology, phylogeography and evolutionary dynamics of emerging infectious diseases in different hosts.
