DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY, HEALTH & EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
Safety at Duke-NUS is managed through a comprehensive and robust Safety Management System based on the OHSAS 18001 standard. PDCA (plan–do–check–act) cycle is the underpinning concept used to identify and mitigate risk and nurture a culture of safety, where every individual plays a role in ensuring workplace safety. The Department of Safety, Health & Emergency Management has worked with all the stakeholders to develop a Safety Management System for the School and serves as a one-stop point for all safety related matters in the School.
