Job Description for Education Executive
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Senior Associate Director (SAD) of
CARE in the organisation of CARE’s education and other programmes as well as its
communications, publicity and publications portfolios. The key areas of duties include
events organisations, writing and communications.

Roles & Responsibilities
(I) Organisation and Management of all CARE Educational Events and
Sessions
Work with other members of CARE secretariat team to organise and implement all
CARE’s educational activities and events including CARE’s annual conference, Experts
Programme, Methods Workshop Series, Round Tables and others.
Specific tasks include:
 Developing and managing events’ related budgets and finances
 Managing all aspects of events’ publicity and marketing
 Managing all aspects of events’ organization including :
– Registrations;
– Liaison and coordination with all parties –trainers,
participants
– Coordinate with senior executive on all aspects of events’
procurement and finance
– Manage all aspects of events’ logistics – F&B, AV,
registration, ushering etc
– collating and liaisons with participants
 Managing events’ evaluations and related reports

(II) Development and management of CARE’s Communications portfolios
 Work with SAD to develop CARE’s communications platforms and
possibilities including
– Management of CARE’s website
– Management of CARE’s social media (FB and Twitter)
– Management of CARE’s publicity on other platforms including
Duke NUS, Singhealth etc
– Management of CARE’s events website if any eg conference
website
 Management of CARE’s publicity collaterals namely its brochure,
(other branding collaterals eg folder, post it pads etc is managed by
Finance and Procurement SE)
 Management of CARE’s email account
 Management of CARE’s Dbase

(III) Organisation of CARE’s publications
 Work with CARE SAD on the editing and publishing of CARE’s research
brief series and other relevant reports
 Specific tasks include:
– Editorial work on CARE’s research briefs and other reports as
necessary
– Liaisons with relevant parties including designers and printers on
the production of brief and reports
– Distribution and publicity of CARE’s briefs and reports

The above list is not exhaustive and candidate may be assigned additional duties
beyond the above scope from time to time.

 

Job Requirements
Competencies
 Experience with work related to marketing and communications
 Experience with events management
 Experience with management of administrative, procurement and financial
procedures and processes
 Experience healthcare or education is advantageous.
 Degree holder preferred; diploma holder with substantial experience may be
considered
 Knowledge of relevant softwares ( excel is a must; project management
software and photoshop a definite advantage)

Qualities
 Demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise and multitask with minimum
supervision
 Possess excellent marketing and communications skills
 Committed to team work and development
 Able to think big picture but possess ability for attention to minute details
