Shannon Ang

Doctoral Candidate

Shannon is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Michigan, with research interests in the health and social lives of older adults. His work so far has focused on the social support and social participation of older adults in Singapore, a rapidly aging city-state in Southeast Asia. Findings from these studies have been published in notable academic journals such as Social Science and MedicineJournals of Gerontology Series B: Psychological and Social SciencesJournal of Aging and Health, and Aging and Mental Health, amongst others.
