Sumithra Suppiah

Research Associate

Sumithra joined CARE as a Research Associate in October 2017. She is involved in the Prescription Medicine Label Improvement for Singaporean Elderly – a research project that centres on providing a strong evidence-base for the development of improved medication labels. Prior to joining CARE, Sumithra was a lecturer with Republic Polytechnic since 2011. With also a keen interest in healthcare education, she supported the School of Applied Sciences with their Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences Diplomas . Sumithra received a Master of Pharmacy from the University of Western Australia (UWA) in 2014. She is interested in translational research relating to pharmacy practice, particularly in the area of medicines optimisation. She believes that research is essential to the advancement of pharmacy practice and healthcare. Through her research at CARE she aims to help Singaporeans lead a fulfilling and healthy life.
