Ted Kheng Siang Ng joined CARE as a research fellow in April 2018 after completing his PhD in Psychological Medicine at the National University of Singapore in the same year. Ted’s previous research projects include the examination of effects of psychosocial randomised controlled trials using neuropsychological tests and biomarkers, biomarkers of psychological laboratory study and wet laboratory biological research.
As a result of his training, Ted is keen to examine issues pertinent to ageing that utilises more holistic bio-psycho-social approaches. With his background in biomedical science, his research agenda at CARE involves searching for biological signatures of ageing, frailty and psychological states such as depression and dementia. Ted is also interested in studying other psychosocial constructs, such as successful ageing, loneliness and social networks.
