About the Programme


The Programme in Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders (CVMD) is one of Signature Research Programme in Duke-NUS Medical School. The overarching aim of the Programme is to define the molecular mechanisms underlying human health and disease and to discover new approaches to prevent, diagnose and treat cardio-metabolic illnesses. CVMD is seeking an Assistant Professor who is interested in uncovering the foundation of cardiovascular disease through a program of translational research based on integrated computational and experimental work. The post-holder will be expected to raise external funds to support their research programme, postdoctoral research staff, and to contribute to the school through collaborative projects within CVMD and more widely with the School and in Singapore. Applicants should have an exceptional international research profile in relation to their career stage and will be highly committed to using computational biology techniques with a particular interest studying cell-state reprogramming, cell therapy and the genomic determinants of cardiovascular disease.


Job Requirements: 

·         Ph.D. or equivalent and a strong background in computational biology, regenerative medicine, systems biology, and/or related fields.

·         Demonstrated by evidence of sustained and productive research, a track record of success in collaborative and convergent research at the interface of computational biology and disease.

·         Experience in translating research towards commercial application is desirable but not essential.
