Duke-NUS Centre of Regulatory Excellence - Scholarships

CoRE TUITION SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIPS

National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) can leverage on financial support through 2 Scholarships to help their staff participate in courses under the Graduate Certificate in Health Products Regulation (GCHPR). These scholarships are set up to encourage professional development of regulatory professionals and foster individual organisation’s career development goals.

CoRE welcomes these regulatory staff whose career goals are aligned to CoRE’s education mission of capability development for regulatory science in the ASEAN region. Through active learning in this programme, they will be equipped to make a difference in the regulatory environment in the Asia-Pacific region. ASEAN Regulators Tuition Support Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP

CoRE has established the ASEAN Regulators Tuition Support Scholarship Scheme in 2018 which is offered to regulators of the ASEAN member economies. 

All courses in the GCHPR will be offered for consideration to interested applicants. The scholarships will be awarded for each course of the GCHPR. 

For regulators who are interested in attaining the Graduate Certificate, four selected courses must be completed. Information on requirements for the Graduate Certificate can be found in this link.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must be working at an ASEAN National Regulatory Authority or Ministry of Health:

  • Brunei
  • Malaysia
  • The Philippines
  • Thailand

CoRE-RSP Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP

CoRE has been engaged as an official training partner under the Australian Indo-Pacific Regulatory Strengthening Program (RSP), a partnership initiative of Australia’s Indo-Pacific Centre for Health Security, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and Department of Health and Aged Care, through its Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to support regulatory system strengthening in the region. Under this partnership, the CoRE-RSP scholarship has been created to support health products regulatory staff from National Regulatory Authority (NRA), Ministry of Health (MOH) or relevant organisations of RSP-target countries to undertake the CoRE Graduate Certificate in Health Products Regulation (GCHPR).

All courses in the GCHPR will be offered for consideration to interested applicants. For regulators who are interested in attaining the GCHPR, four selected courses must be completed. Information on requirements for the Graduate Certificate can be found in this link.

ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES

The scholarships are awarded per course and scholarship applicants must be currently employed at a National Regulatory Authority (NRA), Ministry of Health (MOH) or relevant organisations of RSP-target countries as follows: 

  • Cambodia
  • Indonesia
  • Lao PDR
  • Myanmar
  • Papua New Guinea
  • Viet Nam
