Seminar Series: Evolving Regulations to Facilitate Access to Cell, Tissue and Gene Therapies

As medical management moves beyond the traditional pills, tablets and injections, the arrival of new treatment modalities in the form of cells, tissues and gene therapies has gained the attention of many in the healthcare environment. While these products hold new promises and advances in medical sciences, they also pose new challenges and concerns across various stakeholders.

With over a decade of experience in advanced therapies, Dr Patrick Celis, Head of Scientific Secretariat, Committee for Advanced Therapies at the European Medicines Agency (EMA), shared how health product regulations have evolved to accommodate new sciences and allow access to advanced therapies.
