About the Organization:

Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) is a strategic collaboration between Duke University School of Medicine, North Carolina and the National University of Singapore. In conjunction with SingHealth, the largest national health care service cluster in Singapore, Duke-NUS is unique in bringing post-baccalaureate, research-intensive medical education to Asia.

The Health Services and Systems Research Program (HSSR) is one of the five Signature Research Programs at Duke-NUS. HSSR supports and conducts research that bridges theory and practice that advances the state of scientific theory and is sufficiently pragmatic to improve health care practice. HSSR’s mission is to: (1) pursue a comprehensive health services research portfolio, (2) apply innovative analytical approaches, and (3) influence clinical and public health policy locally and internationally. Given the unique position of Singapore geographically and culturally, the program provides an excellent base for research in comparative health systems and cross cultural studies of health care systems.
