The Lien Centre for Palliative Care (LCPC) is a leading palliative care research and education centre in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region. Part of the Duke-NUS Medical School, LCPC was established in collaboration with the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) and the Singapore Health Services Group (SingHealth).
Led by a team of five research and four education faculty supported by 30 staff members including administrative, research, and education staff, LCPC works closely with clinician-scientists across the SingHealth-Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre and around the world to design and conduct high-quality research studies and provide rigorous training in palliative care to Singapore’s health care providers.
Since 2008, we have trained more than 3,700 health care professionals and produced over 134 peer-reviewed academic publications. LCPC also played a vital role in formulating the National Guidelines for Palliative Care, Guidance on Supportive and Comfort Care in Vulnerable Babies and an online palliative care e-book in English and in Mandarin.
