Dr Alethea YEE

Senior Consultant (Palliative Medicine)

Brief Biography:

Dr Alethea Yee is a specialist in Palliative Medicine and a Senior Consultant at the Division of Supportive and Palliative Care (DSPC) at the National Cancer Centre Singapore.  She was Head of DSPC from 2011-2018 during which she oversaw a huge expansion of DSPC into service, education and research arms.  She is currently seconded to Assisi Hospice as a Clinical Director from Aug 2018, and also runs the renal supportive clinic at SGH. 

Besides her appointment as Education Director of the Lien Centre for Palliative Care Centre (LCPC), she also sits on the national Subspecialty Training Committee for Palliative Medicine. In the past she has been on various training committees for Internal Medicine residency, nursing and allied health. Under her watch, LCPC education has expanded its scope from 1 postgraduate course to several such courses for medical, nursing and allied health professionals, using educationally sound pedagogies, blended learning format, and innovative technologies. The hallmark of all LCPC courses are expert practitioners designing curriculum and teaching practitioners.
