Duke-NUS Palliative Care Course for Social Workers (Basic)

Welcome to the Palliative Care Course for Social Workers (Basic)!

This basic certificate course covers the foundational principles and practice of palliative care. It aims to build professional competency and confidence by equipping participants with the necessary knowledge and basic skills to work with patients and families facing life-threatening illnesses. The trainers in this course range from experienced social workers to doctors and nurses from the field of palliative care. The content is presented through interactive lectures, discussions and role play activities conducted via Zoom.

This is a blended learning course where participants will be able to access mini-presentations, assessments, video clips and other resources via the Duke-NUS Learning Management System. The online self-study will be supplemented with interactive sessions conducted via Zoom over 4 months.
