Testimonials

  • The Duke-NUS IBM program has created an environment where I am able to hone my skills as a researcher, and really learn how to think critically and undertake experiments as a scientist. With different avenues to conduct and communicate research, as well as many opportunities to learn from and be guided by leading researchers, I am growing in confidence and look forward to taking all that I have learnt into my future career as a scientist.

    Gayathri Karthik

    PhD IBM

  • I choose Duke-NUS because of the emphasis on translational medicine, and the potential for collaboration with experts from different scientific and academic fields in both Singapore and abroad. One of the most enjoyable and useful parts of the PhD program to me is the Student Research Seminar (SRS) in which students from all Signature Research Programs (SRPs) present their ongoing work.

    Fatimah

    PhD IBM

  • As a prospective graduate student, I felt that the university’s goals were closely aligned with mine. I’m interested to do applied research and the university’s close association with physicians in the healthcare system was a big draw for me!

    Kunal Mishra

    PhD QBM

  • What I find most remarkable about the PhD QBM programme is that the Centre for Quantitative Medicine (CQM) has a team of faculty with expertise in various methodological research areas in biostatistics, and they are always willing to provide support for students. QBM offers students internship opportunities to collaborate with outstanding scholars and specialists from institutions worldwide on the topics that interest them.
