Dr. Sheena N. Smith is an Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed postdoctoral training with Prof. Andreas Plückthun at the University of Zürich. Her research combines cell and gene therapy, protein engineering, and synthetic biology to develop targeted delivery systems for advanced therapeutics. She is a co-inventor of the SHREAD platform and is expanding these technologies towards the CNS and other tissues.
