Speaker

Asst Prof Roy Wong graduated with a PhD from the University of Hong Kong in the lab of Dongyan Jin, where he focused on molecular virology and innate immunity. He then moved to the University of Iowa for postdoctoral training in the lab of Stanley Perlman, studying coronavirus pathogenesis and immunology. In 2023, he joined the Center for Virus-Host Innate Immunity at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School as an Assistant Professor. His lab studies the role of immune cells and coronavirus proteins in eliciting immune responses and their role in pathogenesis. His lab is also interested in developing novel approaches to address fundamental questions related to coronavirus biology.
