Arboviral Genomic Surveillance: A Crucial Step in Preparing the Region Against Climate-Driven Vector-Borne Diseases

A recent workshop organized by the Asia Pathogen Genomics Initiative brought together scientists from 13 countries to enhance genomic surveillance capabilities for dengue and other arboviruses, emphasizing the importance of prevention and control in the absence of effective treatments. 

Participants engaged in hands-on training and discussions on integrating advanced sequencing technologies — reflecting the need for collaboration and innovation to tackle emerging infectious diseases in a changing climate.
