Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing: Global and Regional Legal Perspectives
Over 50 participants in Singapore spanning government ministries, academia, and the legal sector convened for a high-level event on Pathogen Access and Benefit-sharing, co-hosted by the Centre for Outbreak Preparedness and the Centre for International Law.
The event saw renowned experts in global health law and governance engage in discussions that highlighted critical themes, including equitable frameworks for data sharing, the challenges of implementing international treaties, and what it takes to bring the draft Pandemic Treaty into fruition. Health law experts from India and Indonesia provided insight on their legal landscaping research in these countries and explored the role of a potential regional legal framework for data sharing.
