Jingyi Lei is a Senior Research Assistant with the Centre for Outbreak Preparedness (COP), where her work applies AI and machine learning to pathogen genomics. Her focus spans genomic representation learning, outbreak clustering, and AMR prediction, with an emphasis on federated and privacy-preserving approaches to genomic surveillance. She holds a master's degree in Statistics from the National University of Singapore and a bachelor's degree in Statistics from the University of Florida.
Alongside her COP work, she is also part of the SDGHI Clinical Core team, where she designs evidence-based strategies to improve care access, quality, and delivery across diverse healthcare settings in the Asia-Pacific.
