Mart Lamers studied Biology at the University of Amsterdam, followed by a Master’s in Infection and Immunity at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam. For his PhD, he studied the pathogenesis and evolution of coronaviruses in physiologically relevant model systems under the supervision of dr. Bart Haagmans at the Erasmus Medical Center.
