Laura Rivino completed a PhD in Immunology at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine
(Switzerland), studying the mechanisms driving the generation/maintenance of human memory T cells. During her post-doc in Singapore at NUS and Duke-NUS, she became interested in the role of T cells in virus infections. Rivino was Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS
(2016-2019); she joined the School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, University of Bristol as Senior Lecturer (2019) and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. Her team focuses on anti-viral immunity in human infection and vaccination, with a special interest in dengue and zika.
