Micah Luftig, PhD, is Professor and Vice Chair of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at Duke University School of Medicine and the Alter Geller Distinguished Professor of Immunology. His research focuses on Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and its role in B cell transformation, lymphomagenesis, and immune evasion. Dr. Luftig’s work integrates virology, immunology, and genomics to understand viral-driven cancers and host-pathogen interactions. He is a Fellow of the AAAS and serves on the Executive Board of the International EBV Association.
