ABSTRACT:
In this seminar, Professor Chandran will discuss his recent work aimed at uncovering and dissecting the human antibody responses to 'Class II' spike proteins from emerging/
re-emerging viruses belonging to two divergent families: the bunyavirus Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) and the flavivirus yellow fever virus.

(www.chandranlab.org). His laboratory focuses on several families of emerging enveloped viruses, including filoviruses, bunyaviruses,
flaviviruses, and coronaviruses. Prof. Chandran completed his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at University of Wiscon-sin-Madison, followed by research fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
