NBD Distinguished Overseas Speaker Seminar (Hybrid): New paths of intervention to fight Ewing sarcoma derived from a Drosophila study model

Abstract:

We have found that some human pediatric oncogenes bring about conspicuous effects like hyperplasia of epithelial tissues and ectopia of neural stem cells, in Drosophila. Of particular interest is our study model of EWS-FLI1 -Ewing sarcoma’s oncogene- that recapitulates key neomorphic molecular functions that drive sarcoma growth in human cells.
