Cancer & Stem Cell Biology
With cancer the number one killer disease in the world today, scientists affiliated with the Cancer and Stem Cell Biology Programme study the causes and treatments of cancer and related diseases.
While the Cancer and Stem Cell Biology (CSCB) Programme at Duke-NUS is a young programme, it is strong and rapidly growing. Our research groups have diverse programmes in both basic cancer biology and clinical-translational studies, with a special emphasis on the cancers that affect the Asian community in general. The CSCB Programme also builds collaborative networks with the existing cancer research community in Singapore, including the National Cancer Center Singapore (NCCS), NUS and the A*STAR Research Institutes.
