When I look across these partnerships, what stands out is not just generosity, but intent—a shared understanding that building something meaningful in medicine takes time, and requires both conviction and continuity.

Professor Patrick Tan
Dean, Duke-NUS Medical School

The evening was further distinguished by the presence of Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment. Dr Puthucheary was formerly the Medical Director for Faculty Development at Duke-NUS where he led the development and refinement of TeamLEAD, an innovative team based learning methodology.

Experiencing the Duke-NUS MD Journey

Prior to the dinner, a select group of donors went on a specially curated campus tour to the Immersive Learning Space and 3D Printing Lab. They experienced immersive medical education in action through interactive 3D digital dissections, virtual reality learning and consultations, and 3D printing, gaining a deeper understanding of how technology shapes Duke-NUS students’ learning journey.

The evening included candid reflections by a student and faculty researcher.
