Social Media Intern

Project Overview

The Centre for Ageing Research & Education (CARE) is an academic research centre that conducts research on the social and medical determinants of successful ageing and actively engages with government and industry partners to identify needs and strategies to enhance the experience of ageing in Singapore.

In addition to our existing social media platforms, CARE has recently launched a LinkedIn page to strengthen engagement with the academic and professional community.

We are seeking a driven and creative intern to support the planning, content creation, and management of CARE’s social media platforms. The intern will also be involved in supporting the administration and logistics of CARE’s education activities, such as workshops and symposiums. 

Internship Period: August -December 2026

 

Responsibilities

  1. Communicate CARE’s research projects and findings through clear, engaging posts
  2. Develop various forms of content (e.g., research highlights, key insights, quick explainers)
  3. Plan and maintain a structured social media content calendar
  4. Monitor engagement trends and refine content to strengthen visibility and professional reach
  5. Support the planning, administration and logistics of the Centre’s education initiatives
  6. Assist in ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

Requirements

  1. Minimal commitment period is 3 months
  2. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, media, marketing or a related discipline
  3. Proficiency in graphic design and video editing (e.g. Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro), and copywriting
  4. Detail-oriented and proactive
  5. Photography and videography skills are desirable
