CCSD Research Masterclass Webinar: Harnessing the Power of AI for Medical Research (27 Nov 2024)

A/Prof Liu Nan is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Quantitative Medicine (CQM) and Programme in Health Services and Systems Research (HSSR) of Duke-NUS. He leads the Duke-NUS AI + Medical Sciences Initiative (DAISI). A/Prof Liu is actively working on AI, machine learning, and data science with their applications in various clinical domains. His research has been funded by NMRC, NRF, NHIC, MOE, and AI Singapore among others.

Dr Lohendran Baskaran is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at NHCS, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS. He is the founding director of the CVS.AI research core at NHRIS and is a member of the Singhealth AI Executive Committee. As a clinician scientist, Dr Baskaran is an investigator in over 10 cardiac computed tomography (CT) and AI trials, with grants totalling over $12M. He has over 30 publications in risk prediction, CT and AI, and is the editor of the textbook “Machine Learning in Cardiovascular Medicine.”

Dr Jasmine Ong is a Critical Care Pharmacist at the Singapore General Hospital, and the SingHealth AI EXCO representing the pharmacists across the cluster and an Adjunct faculty with the Duke-NUS Medical School. She is also the first pharmacist in Singapore to be awarded the NMRC Clinician Innovator Award in 2021 and the 2024 US-ASEAN J William Fulbright Scholar to UCSF. With a strong passion in medical AI and digital innovation, her research has been published in leading digital health journals including Lancet digital Health and NEJM AI.
