Advancing Research & Innovation Scholars Experience (ARISE)

Overview:

ARISE aims to help develop the careers of individuals who wish to become clinician researchers and aspire to become future leaders in clinical/translational/health services/healthcare innovation research. This 12 to 18 months’ program provides team-based mentoring by senior researchers and biostatisticians as well as multidisciplinary seminars that focus on the development of research proposals.

 

Objectives:

  • A framework for early-career clinician-researchers who wish to gain hands-on experience and drive independent projects.
  • Provide in-depth, practical, mentored experiences in the conceptualization, development, planning of a research project.
  • ARISE mentees are strongly encouraged to apply for funding to conduct a pilot study and generate data outcomes to support their future larger grant applications.
  • The end output is for ARISE mentees to develop a feasible and impactful research study for research grant application.
