CNA938 Rewind - A new era of eldercare: Singapore’s $260m private assisted-living arrives in 2026

Singapore’s first private assisted‑living project is set to welcome residents by the first quarter of 2026. Perennial Living, a $260 million luxury assisted living development, will feature 200 assisted‑living apartments, a 100‑bed nursing home, a wellness clubhouse, a geriatric care centre, and a 1.5‑hectare park designed for active living. Hairianto Diman and Genevieve Woo chat with Dr Ad Maulod, Principal Research Scientist at the Centre for Ageing Research & Education, Duke-NUS Medical School.  They explore what this initiative means for the future of eldercare in Singapore.
