Understand the patterns and trends of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and mental health in Asia's context. Delve deep into the challenges and opportunities present in the prevention of key NCDs to apply evidence-based frameworks for prevention, implementation, and evaluation.
In the world's largest continent, the inextricable link between the health of people and that of the planet is amplified by rapid urbanisation and escalating climate risks. Develop your understanding of pressing planetary health issues to craft Asia-specific solutions in various policy, economic, and advocacy arenas.
Effective interventions require a thorough understanding of low-resource, climate-change stricken, or displaced settings, and a fundamentally inclusive and context-sensitive approach. Discuss and apply the cultural competency, intersectionality, and psychosocial disability lenses in the design of mental health interventions and policies.
