CoRE Journal Club - HEALTH DATA STANDARDISATION: ACCELERATING TOWARDS CLINICAL IMPACT AND GLOBAL REACH

The Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) is excited to announce the launch of our Journal Club—a platform for open, intellectual exchange rooted in the spirit of traditional academic dialogue. Unlike conventional formats focused on recently published papers, this Journal Club invites participants to share the technical depth and insights emerging from their ongoing work. By fostering candid, peer-driven discussions, it aims to spark collaboration, surface cross-cutting insights, and strengthen our collective understanding of complex regulatory challenges. Join us in building a vibrant community where thoughtful exchange leads to shared learning and innovation.

The inaugural session of the CoRE Journal Club is titled “Health Data Standardisation: Accelerating Towards Clinical Impact and Global Reach” and will be led by Adjunct Associate Professor Cynthia Sung from Duke-NUS Medical School and Ms Mingshi Koh, Director from the TRUST Office at MOH Office for Healthcare Transformation (MOHT).

Adjunct Associate Professor Cynthia Sung will introduce the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership Common Data Model (OMOP CDM) and its global applications in the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) community, used by over 4,200 institutions worldwide. Ms Mingshi Koh will share how Singapore’s TRUST platform enables access to anonymised NEHR data to support impactful local research and foster international collaboration.
