2023 NIHA: Future Leaders Programme

The 2023 National University of Singapore (NUS) Initiative to Improve Health in Asia (NIHA) Future Leaders Programme (FLP), which holds particular significance as it marks the final edition of NIHA, set to conclude this year (a hiatus between 2020 to 2022 due to COVID).

Through a design thinking approach, the 2023 NIHA FLP aims to equip health policy leaders to address pressing strategic challenges for healthcare in the Asia-Pacific region with the theme “Enabling the Future of Healthcare through Regulatory Innovation”. The 4-day programme will stimulate discussions and explore the current regulations for cybersecurity, data security and governance while addressing the opportunities and challenges of the potential future healthcare systems, in terms of preventive health and new healthcare innovations. The FLP will culminate in a public forum on 21 July to address “Transforming Healthcare for the Next Decade”, with a specific focus on Digital Health, Artificial Intelligence, and Healthcare Systems.

This course is specially designed for senior leaders equivalent to the level of Deputy Director-General or Divisional Director from Ministries of Health in Asia Pacific and will feature faculty comprising of senior officials from the Ministry of Health in Singapore, and key thought leaders from academia and the private sector.
