Asia Pacific (APAC) Network of Healthcare Regulators
Healthcare service transformation and rapid technological advancements have given rise to an increasingly complex regulatory environment that requires a greater integration of services around the patient and greater porosity of healthcare delivery across jurisdictions. In response to these developments, the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Network of Healthcare Regulators was established to serve as a dedicated platform for healthcare regulators across the region to connect, exchange knowledge, and collaborate on regulatory matters of shared importance.
The APAC Network aims to facilitate the exchange of regulatory frameworks and best practices across economies, and to establish a robust platform for knowledge-sharing and open dialogue on regulatory approaches, challenges, and potential solutions. It seeks to promote collaboration on regional and local regulatory issues, thereby contributing to more coherent and contextually relevant regulatory strategies across Asia-Pacific. In doing so, this platform supports ongoing efforts toward regulatory convergence and harmonisation, ultimately enhancing the responsiveness and resilience of healthcare regulatory systems in the region.
A central pillar of this initiative is the cultivation of strong, trust-based relationships among healthcare regulators. By fostering mutual understanding and sustained dialogue, the APAC Network enhances opportunities for effective cooperation, contributes to more efficient regulatory processes, and supports the development of harmonised standards and policies that serve the broader interests of public health in the Asia-Pacific region.

To further enhance collaboration and transparency, CoRE and MOH have launched an open repository called "Repository: APAC Knowledge Sharing Initiatives". This repository will serve as a platform for important information and resources in healthcare regulation. It is designed to support informed decision-making by providing easy access to a wealth of knowledge and expertise. By facilitating knowledge sharing, it promotes a more cohesive regulatory environment and contributes to enhancing healthcare outcomes across the APAC region.
