2021 10th Asia Partnership Conference of Pharmaceutical Associations (APAC)

Theme: Overcoming COVID-19 and Taking on New Innovative Challenges for the Next Decade in Asia.

In Prof John Lim's keynote speech in the Regulatory Affairs Session at the virtual 10th Asia Partnership Conference of Pharmaceutical Associations (APAC) on 13th April 2021, he spoke about Regulatory Agility during and after COVID-19. Global trends in regulatory science since 2010 set the stage for positive demonstration of regulatory agility and cooperation in the first year of the pandemic, expediting access to vaccines and diagnostics. With the evolving threat of new variants and anticipating trends over the next 10 years, it is important to continue applying these practices to support innovation to help manage this and future public health threats. There are 7 “T” pre-requisites for advancing Regulatory Agility - Trust, Transparency, Training, Testing, Trans-national bodies, Transfer & Timeliness. These must be undergirded by a Commitment to Collaborate.
