Community Care Manpower Development Awards (CCMDA)

Our Professional Certificate in Palliative Care for Social workers is now part of the Community Care Manpower Development Awards (CCMDA) pre-approved course list!
Eligible participants from the Community Care sector will be able to tap on CCMDA for funding support to pursue the programme. Kindly contact ccmda@aic.sg if you require any assistance.

Participants interested to tap on CCMDA for funding support are required to submit their applications to AIC before the course start date. It is highly recommended that you submit the application latest by 27 February 2026.

This course is highly subsidised and participants will be required to pay the full course fee of S$ 2,398.00 under any of the following circumstances:

1. Withdrawal from the course on or after course start date
2. Failure to fulfil a minimum attendance of 80% for the teaching sessions
3. Failure to complete and pass all prescribed coursework and assessments for the course

• This course is supported and accredited by the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).

• Course participants will receive 1 CPE credit per hour of face-to-face teaching time, and will be awarded with an e-Certificate of completion at the end of the course*.

*The Professional Certificate will only be awarded to participants who complete all coursework (including assessments and evaluation) and achieve at least 80% attendance for face-to-face teachings.

Social Workers who are interested in learning more about working with patients and families facing life-threatening illnesses. Priority will be given to social workers who are working in the palliative care setting.

Other Allied Health Professionals (Creative Therapists, Counsellors and Psychologists) who are working predominantly with patients with serious illness in palliative care services or palliative care wards in community hospitals or nursing home.
