My Voice (Cancer)

Improving Advance Care Planning processes and outcomes for patients with advanced cancer

My Voice – Cancer is an LLM-powered AI chatbot for cancer patients guiding them through a structured values clarification exercise helping them elicit their goals of care through interactive dialogue. It generates a 'My Voice' document that can be shared with ACP facilitators, physicians, and care partners to support ACP discussions and documentation.

The usability and acceptability of My Voice – Cancer will be assessed locally using validated scales and in-depth qualitative interviews to refine the intervention.

The effectiveness and implementation of My Voice – Cancer will be evaluated through a Hybrid Type 1 two-arm randomized controlled trial, with longitudinal follow-up of patients and care partners, alongside a process evaluation to assess reach, acceptability, and implementation factors.
