Bio

Dr. Nicolas Foin is the Founder and Managing Director at Dhenin Management, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School Singapore. 
Passionate about accelerating new ventures, he brings 15 years of experience in leadership and advisory board roles across healthcare innovation. He has worked with companies including Medtronic, Abbott, Biosensors, Biotronik, and Philips on product, business development strategy and venture investment. He has also advised and supported start-ups in Devices and SaaS in their development and financing.
Nic started his career with the Imperial College Cardiology research unit. In 2013, he joined the National Heart Centre Singapore, setting up and leading, as a Principal Investigator of the Medical Technologies theme to translate research and innovation from the bench to the bedside. 
In 2017, he joined the Image Guided Therapy team at Philips Healthcare, focusing on Market Development Strategy and BD Venture Investment. Then, as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Wondr Medical, he led the company's BD Strategy and first equity financing preparation. 
Nic graduated with a MSc in Engineering in Medicine and a PhD fellowship from Imperial College London. He has authored several patents and contributed to over 150 publications, editorials, and book chapters in the field of cardiovascular interventions and received several awards for his innovation and research contributions. 
He recently joined Medinbox, a leading remote connectivity solution for hospitals and medical education, as Deputy Managing Director. He serves on the executive board of CoreAalst, a clinical research incubation company, and with Dhenin, his mission is to bring to market and accelerate disruptive value propositions that reduce costs and inefficiencies.
