Bio
Following his MBBS in Singapore, Dr Foo Chee Liam was trained in General Surgery in the UK and became a Fellow of the FRCS (England) and FRCS (Edinburgh). He developed an interest in Plastic Surgery and trained at Mt Vernon, East Grinstead and subsequently at Singapore General Hospital. He attained Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine in 1988. He subspecialized in Craniofacial Surgery with HMDP Fellowships to the Australasian Craniofacial Unit (1990) and the USA (1995). As the first Chief of the Plastic Surgery Service at KKH, he has regularly participated in medical missions overseas since 1991 and continues to do so actively. Serving as President of SAPS from 1998 to 2000, President of the Asia-Pacific Craniofacial Association and currently as President of the Society for Surgery and Medicine Singapore. Dr Foo is also involved in education as Chairman of RAC (Plastic Surgery) and STC (1998 to present) and various committees at MOH overseeing Aesthetic Practice, Liposuction, Plastic Surgery Training and Medisave.
