Bio
Dr James Loh is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He underwent orthopaedic training and obtained his subspecialty fellowship at the world renowned Karolinska Institute, Sweden. He specializes in hip and knee surgeries, ranging from preservation to reconstruction techniques, with the exception of paediatric and oncology related conditions. He has special interest in multiple ligament injured knee, knee re-alignment surgeries (osteotomies), anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgeries and complex primary knee replacement.
He had qualified as a fellow in both Surgery in General and Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an award-winning educator and holds professorships in Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Singapore University of Technology and Design and Duke-NUS Medical school. He is an examiner for the orthopaedic specialist exit examinations, both local and overseas.
Every year, Dr James Loh is an invited faculty for many international courses on knee surgery in the region. He is actively involved as faculty and speaker in international meetings such as the Society for International Congress of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (SICOT). He is actively involved in research and had published in top international orthopaedic journals. He runs regularly, an activity he took up when he was in the armed forces. He enjoys spending time with family, drawing, and reading.
