Bio

Dr Chen  Haobin is a Consultant with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Sengkang General Hospital and is also the Spine Service Chief at SKH under SingHealth Spine SDDC framework. An Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon by training, he has experience in managing a wide spectrum of spine conditions, including spine trauma and injury, various degenerative spine diseases including those with spinal cord and spinal nerve compression, spinal deformity, spinal infections as well as metastatic tumor involvement of the spine. His surgical expertise includes both conventional open as well as minimally invasive spine approaches including tubular and endoscopic spine surgery. He also trained in less invasive spinal procedures including fluoroscopic-guided nerve root blocks and caudal epidural injections, tailoring treatments plans specifically to each patient's condition.

Dr Chen takes on a keen interest in medical education, being a Physician Faculty of the SingHealth Orthopaedic Residency Programme as well as a Core Clinical Faculty Member for the SingHealth PGY1 Residency Programme. He is Passionate about medical schools in Singapore. He has also been part of the teaching faculty at Spine Surgery workshops conducted for young and aspiring spine surgeons.
