Bio

Professor Leung is the Director of the Children's Blood and Cancer Centre and a Senior Consultant at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, part of SingHealth. He also serves as a Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School.
Previously, Professor Leung was a faculty member at Johns Hopkins University, and he held the position of Chair of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He also served as the Chair of the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Hong Kong.
He was honoured with the title of Distinguished Professor and Chair of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Tan Cheng Lim – CCF Professorship in Paediatric Oncology. 
Throughout his career in Singapore, Professor Leung has held several significant appointments, including Lead for SingHealth Transplant Research, Director of the Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Centre, and Director of Research at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Transplant Centre.
His research interests focus on the biology of human natural killer cells and T-memory cells, with a particular emphasis on gene-modifications and their clinical applications in the treatment of cancer, blood disorders, immune system conditions, and infectious diseases.
