Bio
Dr Charlene Liew, FRCR, is a Senior Consultant Radiologist and Director of Cardiothoracic Imaging in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Changi General Hospital.
She underwent internship and residency training at Changi General Hospital, Singapore General Hospital, KK Women and Children’s Hospital, National Neuroscience Institute and the National Cancer Center from 2007-2014. After being conferred the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, United Kingdom in 2012, she continued her fellowship training in cardiothoracic radiology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston and was a Harvard Medical School research fellow.
She has received awards in education (ASEAN Congress of Radiology 2011, American Roentgen Ray Society, 2015) innovation, as well as research, and was awarded Best Young Presenter at the Asian Society of Cardiovascular Imaging meeting in 2016 for translational research into high-resolution late gadolinium enhancement MRI with a machine learning technique.
