Prof Scott Summers is a leader in the ceramide-associated cardiometabolic diseases field and has mentored numerous students and postdocs who have had illustrious careers.
As some of you may know, he is a faculty alumnus of Duke-NUS and is currently the Co-Director of Diabetes & Metabolism Research Center as well as the Department Chair of Nutrition & Integrative Physiology at the University of Utah. He is also a co-founder of Centaurus Therapeutics, a biotech company that develops ceramide-reducing therapies to treat cardiometabolic diseases.
