ABOUT THE LECTURE:
In this talk, I will review recent advances in magnetic resonance imaging and beyond, and their impact on our effort toward establishing personalized, precision, and predictive biomarkers. I will use relevant examples, through collaborations with my colleagues, to illustrate how advanced neurotechnologies can improve the quality of life in vulnerable individuals and groups, and best serve our people and society.

Prof Allen Song
Professor of Radiology, Neurobiology and Biomedical Engineering

Allen W. Song, PhD, is Professor and Director of Brain Imaging and Analysis Centre at Duke University (since 2006). He attended Shanghai Jiao Tong University as an undergrad in EE, and went on to graduate school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and received his PhD degree in Biophysics in 1995. He received additional postdoc trainings in neuroscience at the National Institutes of Health. In 1999 he joined Duke University as an assistant professor and has remained in Duke since.
